Everything about this car is alluring. The aluminum alloy body shell not only contributes to the contemporary look of the car, but it is lightweight and reduces car weight. The Computer Active Technology Suspension works with the body material by continuously adjusting the shock absorber settings. This promises a constant balance of ride comfort and handling. The exaggerated features along the exterior all hint that this machine can deliver some power, and they’re not lying.

The XK is built with a 4.2-liter, 32-valve V8 engine that siphons out 300 horsepower. It works with a six-speed automatic transmission that allows manual shifting from the steering-wheel-mounted paddles. The XKR has an Eaton supercharger to amplify the horsepower up to 420 and the Coupe’s acceleration to 0-60 in 4.9 seconds. This supercharged variation of the vehicle also comes with a modified suspension that overall improves ride quality.

The eye-catching exterior and impressive drive train carry the impressive interior of the XK. Everything from the seats to the instrument panel has the touch of leather that screams elegance. The Burl Walnut trim—or the Technical Weave Aluminum Trim in the XKR—further the cabins luxurious presence. Some luxuries you’ll find inside include a chose of top-notch audio systems, a 7-inch touchscreen for various vehicle controls, a DVD-based navigation system, a keyless engine start button, adaptive cruise control, reverse park control—getting tired yet? Jaguar really filled this vehicle with as much of the highest quality technology they could gather.

All of this comes together for one impressive automotive experience. The impressive driving capabilities of the 2008 XK aren’t without proper protection either. The 4-wheel anti-lock disk brakes are worked electronically with the traction control to improve driving quality. The tire pressure is also being constantly monitored by a system that displays on the touchscreen. Along with the airbag systems, the XK is also equipped with a dynamic head restraint system and optional active headlights that adjust to the angle of the road.
