Jaguar’s 2009 XF features Coupe-like design and performance mixed with the room and luxury of a mid-sized sedan. This manifestation of Jaguar Design Director Ian Callum came to fruition more than two years after his work on the 2006 XK model – and as you can see from the shots below Callum & Jag have grown together to produce a gorgeous new addition to the auto maker’s catalogue.

The 2008 Jaguar XJ sedan is unrivaled with its new design. Varieties of trims are offered and all of them promise an exceptional compellation of technology.

The XJ comes in regular and longer wheelbases ranging from 119.4 in. to 124.4 in. The most notable feature about the XJ is its use of an aluminum alloy outer shell. This material is lighter and stronger than steel so not only does it reduce the weight of the vehicle, but it gives it an added coat of resistance. The enhanced computer technology works with the cars systems to adapt to road conditions and deliver the most efficient level of output based on these readings.

The inside is another pleasure to the eye. There is a variety of trims to choose from to give your cockpit a personal flare; the elm trim is standard on all XJ variations. The backseat has a greater amount of legroom than other vehicles of this class. The roominess of the interior is equally as comfortable because of the conveniences available. Dual-zone automatic climate control is standard and Four-zone climate control is optional for the higher-level trims. More of these luxuries include Bluetooth capabilities, compatibility and connectivity with various media players, exceptional audio systems, and twin seatback screens for DVDs or games; the acoustic damping built into the windows allows you to hear whatever entertainment medium you choose to use at its best quality. The driver also has a 7-inch color touchscreen that controls the DVD-based Navigation system, audio controls, comfort settings and more. Everything from the instrument panel to the interior design is doused in luxury.

Such a vehicle deserves only the strongest power source. The standard 4.2-liter V8 generates 300 horsepower and teams with a six-speed automatic transmission. The higher trims use the supercharged variation of this engine and they can produce 400 horsepower. The drivetrain uses the latest technology to reduce emissions and allow you to manual gearshift via steering wheel controls.

As with all Jaguar vehicles, the safety features are guaranteed to please. Dual-stage frontal airbags, side-impact airbags and side-curtain airbags are all standard. Other built in safety precautions include traction control, an electronic stability system and antilock brakes. The aluminum body also has crumple zones and a firm safety cell built into its structure.

There is reason to be excited about the dazzling 2008 XJ.

Jaguar’s entry-level vehicle has received some revamps for the 2008 year. This is the last model that the United States will see of the relatively young automobile. You had better act now if you want a taste of Jaguar for a portion of the price.

This five-door sedan features a low tail and an inclining grille meshed into a sporty appearance. The quad halogen lights, fog lights and 16-inch alloy wheels are some of the changes you will see on the X-Type exterior. The X-Type Sportwagon model has the same features except it uses 17-inch alloy wheels. Other differences on the wagon model include altered back doors, a distinctive roof and a rear window that opens independently from the gate of the tailgate.

Five people can fit inside the cabin. The Connolly leather upholstery, real wood trim and Jaguar-style instrument panel help sustain this automobiles luxury status. The standard 10-way powered seats, automatic climate control, trip computer and audio system don’t hurt either. Optional features include a navigation system, Bluetooth connectivity, reverse parking assist, heated seats and more. The Sportwagon comes with almost identical equipment; however, there is a 70/30 split-folding rear seat and a range of cargo storage spaces.

The 2008 X-Type sedan and Sportwagon both run on a 3.0-liter V6 that can produce 227 horsepower and 206 lb.-ft. of torque. The five speed automatic transmission is standard on both vehicles and uses the J-gate shift that is popular on other Jaguar models. This combined with All-wheel drive make the X-Type soar in terms of performance.

The safety wasn’t ignored either in this years model. The airbag setup includes advanced frontal airbags, a front-knee airbag, front-side airbags and side-curtain airbags for all passengers. Other features included in the mix include an electronic stability system and antilock brakes. All of this is standard.

The 2008 X-Type is an exceptional and affordable entry-level vehicle for the luxury Jaguar automobile enthusiast.

Athletes beware, the 2008 Jaguar XK is here. This powerful new sports car has a lot of muscle to flex and it doesn’t hesitate to do so. Whether you choose the coupe or convertible body style, you can expect to drive around in a sleek and modern design that is guaranteed to dazzle anyone who catches a glimpse. The 2008 XK is also available in the supercharged XKR style.

Everything about this car is alluring. The aluminum alloy body shell not only contributes to the contemporary look of the car, but it is lightweight and reduces car weight. The Computer Active Technology Suspension works with the body material by continuously adjusting the shock absorber settings. This promises a constant balance of ride comfort and handling. The exaggerated features along the exterior all hint that this machine can deliver some power, and they’re not lying.

The XK is built with a 4.2-liter, 32-valve V8 engine that siphons out 300 horsepower. It works with a six-speed automatic transmission that allows manual shifting from the steering-wheel-mounted paddles. The XKR has an Eaton supercharger to amplify the horsepower up to 420 and the Coupe’s acceleration to 0-60 in 4.9 seconds. This supercharged variation of the vehicle also comes with a modified suspension that overall improves ride quality.

The eye-catching exterior and impressive drive train carry the impressive interior of the XK. Everything from the seats to the instrument panel has the touch of leather that screams elegance. The Burl Walnut trim—or the Technical Weave Aluminum Trim in the XKR—further the cabins luxurious presence. Some luxuries you’ll find inside include a chose of top-notch audio systems, a 7-inch touchscreen for various vehicle controls, a DVD-based navigation system, a keyless engine start button, adaptive cruise control, reverse park control—getting tired yet? Jaguar really filled this vehicle with as much of the highest quality technology they could gather.

All of this comes together for one impressive automotive experience. The impressive driving capabilities of the 2008 XK aren’t without proper protection either. The 4-wheel anti-lock disk brakes are worked electronically with the traction control to improve driving quality. The tire pressure is also being constantly monitored by a system that displays on the touchscreen. Along with the airbag systems, the XK is also equipped with a dynamic head restraint system and optional active headlights that adjust to the angle of the road.

Jaguar, the luxury car manufacturer, is replacing the S-Type model with the all-new XF mid-size luxury car and sports sedan. This blend of style gives the XF a unique experience without sacrificing anything that a Jaguar fan would expect. The lucky buyer of the 2008 XF can have their vehicle come in Luxury, Premium Luxury or Supercharged trim levels.

The first thing one will notice about the XF is its outer design. It gives auto buyers a taste of the new route that Jaguar is taking their vehicle designs. The sporty design is exaggerated with sleek lines that give this four-door sedan the look and feel of a coupe. Behind this pseudo-sports car sit LED taillights that complement the headlights. All of this, combined with the assortment of other design cues and features, rest on alloy wheels that vary from 17 to 20 inches in size.

The inside is just as compelling as the outside. Along with its lavish style, the 2008 XF interior has standard and optional features such as backup assist camera, adaptive cruise control, a choice of three quality sound systems, compatibility with the latest technologies and a blind spot monitor. The touch LCD screen on the center console not only controls various functions in the car, but it can display the optional Navigation system. The inside is full of subtle details that give this car its modern flare. The Phosphor Blue Halo Illumination sets this mood in the vehicle and with JaguarSense™, all you need to do it wave your hand to turn on the reading light or open the glove compartment.

Hidden amongst all of the interior glory is a host of quality ensured safety technology. The multitude of airbags include dual-stage frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, front curtain airbags and of course rear side-impact protection. These airbags don’t work alone; they work with other features such as an electronic stability system, antilock brakes, traction control, active head restraints and a continuing list of brilliance. The quality of the XF also shines on its drivetrain. The standard engine is a 4.2-liter V8 that works in combination with a six-speed automatic transmission. With Jaguar Sequential Shift™, the driver can select either a Drive or Sport transmission mode. The controls for this are on the steering wheel or a gearshift knob on the center console; this knob pops out of the console when the engine is started. This further proves that everything on this vehicle is state of the art.
