The five speed automatic transmission is standard on both vehicles and uses the J-gate shift that is popular on other Jaguar models. This combined with All-wheel drive make the X-Type soar in terms of performance.

The safety wasn’t ignored either in this years model. The airbag setup includes advanced frontal airbags, a front-knee airbag, front-side airbags and side-curtain airbags for all passengers.
