Jaguar is hoping to make a come back in the hearts, minds and wallets of luxury sports sedan lovers worldwide. The C-XF concept, which debuted last year, is part of a plan the company will hope turn into a revival for both sales and anticipation of upcoming Jag models. The vehicle has a 4.2-liter supercharged V8 engine, which covers the sports segment – and the leather interior and seating for five gives into the sedan name. Is this the next generation of sports sedans?

C-XF has a low-slinging front end and a grill which is more narrow than some previous Jags. Headlights are slanted to give an angry brow – almost violent looking, making this front end one of Jaguar’s most aggressive designs to date. Furthering the vehicles aggressive appearance are side power vents and tapered tail.

Jaguar Design Director Ian Callum describes the C-XF’s concept interior as “one of the most exciting interiors Jaguar has ever done.” The car’s sports philosophy is also featured in the cabin – tailored toward performance instead of luxury. Light weight, sculpted bucket seats fit to the driver’s form, as do the rear and passenger seating. Between these seats is a tall, central transmission tunnel that gives you the feeling of sitting inside the space shuttle. A brushed aluminum facade wraps around the cabin, producing a dynamic linear feel that instills a sense of velocity. Now, all we have to do is wait and see if this sporty sedan can save a struggling beast.
